For Vat Dyes and Sulphur Dyes, dyestuff need to be reduced to a soluble form to improve affinity to fiber then oxidized to insoluble form. For reduction generally Caustic Soda and HydroSulphide is used. When there is O2 in the environment, it reverses the effect and you have to use more chemicals.

Close-N system replaces the air (O2 inside the air) with nitrogene inside the garment dyeing machine. Thus, you use %80 percent less chemicals. Less load on effluent treatment.
